Decorative Painting with etchall

etchall® produces an evenly etched finish that has texture or “tooth” that holds paint. Your tole painting is no longer limited to paper, wood, or tin. You can now take tole painting to exciting new levels. Recycle old glass bottle and jars to create lovely treasures and gifts.

To tole paint on an etched surface, simply follow these easy directions:

  1. Choose an object to etch…glass plate, bottle, ceramic lamp, china ornament or mirror.
  2. Etch the object according to the directions on the bottle. Think of etchall® as a primer for glass. etchall® is to glass, is what sandpaper is to wood.
  3. After etching, transfer the patterns onto the glass just as you would onto a wooden surface. Use acrylic, oil paints, or permanent inks to paint your masterpiece on the etched surface.
  4. Watch as your beautiful design unfolds on this “canvas of glass”. With etchall®, you now have many more surfaces on which to display your artistry. Remember, because the etched surface is opaque, each side displays its own unique pattern and does not compete with designs on other portions of the glass.

etchall® sets you free to explore tole painting new ways. You are limited only by your imagination.
