Let’s learn the Constitution over a cup of coffee!
July 4, 1776 was when our thirteen colonies separated from Great Britain and wrote the Declaration of Independence. Then we had to set up our own government and write our Constitution. This document is the law of our land. All citizens should read and understand our rights and responsibilities.
Using a silhouette machine, I made the words, “Have a cup of Coffee & Discuss the Constitution” on one side and a student’s name on the other side. I put the words in vinyl onto the cup and made sure it had no bubbles. Then I applied the Etchall® Creme, left it on for 15 minutes, then removed it and put the extra creme back into the jar. I rinsed off the rest of the creme and removed the vinyl. Finally, I added some Rub ’n Buff color to make the words stand out. I bought the white coffee cup from the Dollar Store.
This is a gift for one of my former Government students who wants to read and learn more about our Constitution. She will get the coffee cup, a Constitution booklet, and all the patriotic items.
