Crafting Easter Joy
Easter is a time of celebration and reflection, and what better way to honor the essence of the season than by creating a beautiful ornament that embodies the spirit of resurrection and hope? In this DIY blog post, we’ll guide you through the process of making a unique glass heart ornament adorned with a powerful Easter message: “HE IS RISEN” and a cross. Let’s dive into the creative journey that turns a simple piece of glass into a meaningful keepsake.
Here are the steps I used
Step 1
Using a Silhouette machine, cut out the Easter saying “HE IS RISEN” and a cross from vinyl. This will serve as the stencil for etching onto the glass. The precision of the Silhouette machine ensures a clean and professional-looking design.
Step 2
Carefully place the vinyl onto the glass heart, ensuring that it adheres securely. The design will act as a guide for the etching process, so take your time to position it accurately.
Step 3
Apply Etchall® Creme evenly over the vinyl design on the glass heart. Allow the creme to sit for approximately 15 minutes, allowing it to work its magic in creating a beautifully etched pattern on the glass. Don’t worry about the color change during this process; the darker shade indicates that the creme is effectively etching the glass
Step 4
Using a squeegee, carefully remove the Etchall® Creme from the glass heart. Be sure to return any excess creme back to the jar – it’s reusable for future creative projects.
Step 5
Once the creme is removed, reveal the beautifully etched design on your glass heart. Attach a hanger to transform it into an elegant Easter ornament that radiates love and joy.
