The first snowfall is mystical. Lightly falling snow gives us a hazy appearance in the air. I wanted to “recreate” that look on my containers.
I purchased these glass containers with white vinyl snowflakes of various sizes on the outside. I wanted to keep the vinyl snowflakes intact and did not etch the outside. This could remove them. Wanting to give these containers that “mystical” look, I put the dip ‘n etch liquid inside it, let it set for 15 minutes, then replaced the dip ‘n etch back in its’ bottle. Next, I washed the inside of the glass container to remove any residual.
There are two photos:
Photo 1
The first shows the unetched container on the right and the etched container on the left using “etchall Dip ‘n Etch.”
Photo 2
The second photo shows the difference with a battery-operated t-light inside. The etched glass gave the container a soft, hazy appearance. Decorate the outside with ribbon, Christmas decorations, etc., and put t-lights, treats, etc. inside.
